MSG Secretariat supports Vanuatu Governments constructive dialogue with the Expert Committee on Disabilities in Geneva

The Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) Secretariat in partnership with the Pacific Community’s (SPC) Regional Rights Resource Team (RRRT) and the Pacific Regional Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) held a refresher workshop 

MSG Observer Group to Solomon Islands General Elections 2019

Ambassador Yauvoli is confident and pleased to announce that the MSGOG to Solomon Islands 2019 will comprise highly respected citizens from the MSG Member countries.  Ambassador Yauvoli said that the MSGOG will be headed by retired diplomat and Politician Ratu Inoke Kabuabola of Fiji and supported by Mr Martin Tete (Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Vanuatu), Mr Leonard Louma (Senior Civil Servant, former Diplomat of Papua New Guinea) and Mr Rodrique Tiavouane, of the (FLNKS in New Caledonia). These highly respected individuals will be supported by the MSG Secretariat support team.

MSG DG signs MOU with IDEA

“With our MSG Secretariat reforms and programs alignment to be in sync with our 2038 Prosperity for All Plan, it is anticipated that this strategic partnership with IDEA and similar organisations will be of immense benefit to the subregion, especially in crucial areas of our programming focus. This MOU seeks to formalise the collaboration between our two organisations which will allow us to draw from the expertise, resources and global outreach of International IDEA in the areas of democracy and sustainable development”, Ambassador Amena Yauvoli said.
