MSG Free Trade Agreement
- MSGTA came into force in 1993 – comprising PNG, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.
- Fiji became a party to the MSGTA in 1996
- Focused on gradual reduction of tariffs (import duty) on goods imported from MSG countries in order to enhance intra-regional trade
- Rules of origin are used to distinguish between MSG goods and goods from other countries

Market Intelligence Study
The Study focuses on a few products that are deemed to be of comparative and competitive advantage for each member country, with the aim of developing capacity for the existing potential MSG exporters to effectively enhance export competitiveness and facilitate sub-regional trade. The Report looks forward from previous Studies in related areas, and assumes a familiarity with the material contained in them.
